The Bishop of Manchester, the Rt Revd. Nigel McCulloch, has visited the parish of Holy Trinity Blackley on Tuesday 15th May 2007 as part of his continuing three-year pilgrimage around the diocese.
After meeting staff and children at Holy Trinity Primary School, the bishop visited the newly built North City Library in Blackley. After a community reception, a simple act of worship was held at The Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Cobden Street. The service was led by representatives of young people's organisations as well as older parishioners, representing the past, present, and future of the church and community. The service included an opportunity for anyone to come forward to be
